There was a divorced woman from Mogadishu who was of Yemeni Arab descent.
She had been divorced by many men; it was said that husbands would flee from her because she was impossible to manage or satisfy.
Furthermore, she was a heavy *khat* chewer.
It was said that most men grew to loathe her because of her preference for deviant sexual practices.
She had become accustomed to anal intercourse.
For women, once they become habituated to that specific act, it often turns into an addiction.
This notorious divorcee met a young man who owned a shop in the Hamar Weyne market; he was a young man who was already married to a female relative.
He had been living a good, stable life, and he and his wife got along very well.
After meeting this woman, however, he began to court her.
Their affair escalated quickly.
The woman confided everything in him, including details about her previous husbands and the circumstances of her divorces.
She told him that one of those men had introduced her to deviant sexual practices.
The young man was someone who watched pornography; when he got to know this woman, she suggested they enter into a *Qudbasir* marriage (a secret, informal union).
He agreed to the secret marriage. It is said that after the young man consummated the marriage with her, he came to detest his wife.
She had learned the practice of anal intercourse. The young man grew to loathe his wife and instead became enamored with a divorced woman from Xamar.
As it happens, some men are particularly fond of anal intercourse with women, and that is why he turned against his wife.
He began coming home late; upon arrival, he would simply go to sleep, having already dined—and fully satisfied his desires—with the divorced woman.
He used to give her large sums of money.
He no longer wanted his wife; she was not the same to him as before.
One night, he tried to engage in a specific sexual act with his wife—one she found objectionable—but she refused. A violent argument ensued; he was obsessed with that particular act—she was a large-bodied woman with a prominent backside, which had become an addiction for him.
He stormed out of the house in anger.
His wife also left for her family’s home that night, furious.
The next day, he went to her, smoothed things over, and she returned.
He promised her he would not ask for that kind of sexual act again.
However, the woman had become deeply disturbed; she had been exposed to a harmful obsession.
One night, he tried to force his wife into it again—attempting to take it by force—but he failed.
A fierce fight broke out between them.
She called her guardian and told him the whole story.
Her father told her, “Leave his house; that man cannot be a proper husband to you.”
She went to her family’s home.
Her father declared, “My daughter must be divorced; there is no way she can continue living with that man.”
The husband divorced her—a forced divorce—and his household fell apart as a result.
He remains obsessed with that woman, even after the divorce. He courted an Abgaal woman who ran a shop in the market.
While courting her, he told her about the various forms of sexual pleasure he enjoyed and said he wanted her to do *everything* for him.
The woman was surprised and asked, “I don’t understand—what do you mean by ‘everything’?”
He replied, “That is simply what I want.” He explained that he desired deviant sexual acts; the woman said, “No, that is not for me. If you don’t want me without that, then let’s forget about marriage.”
The man began seeking out that kind of experience—after all, she had introduced him to it. He had developed an addiction to anal sex.
He started looking for “loose” women.
He met a young woman who sold tea in the market; she was a woman who was open to anything. He had been told about her by an acquaintance—another street-smart guy.
One day, he visited her at her tea-brewing spot, bought a cup of tea, and struck up a conversation that eventually turned to the topic of sexual pleasure. She told him, “I am up for anything.”
He proposed a secret marriage, but she refused, saying, “I don’t want marriage, but I am ready for casual intimacy.”
Eventually, the young man became her lover, and she allowed him to do whatever he pleased.
Once a woman gets accustomed to these practices, it becomes an addiction; the man finds himself unable to stay away from her.
Women who engage in anal intercourse develop enlarged buttocks, taking on a distinct, voluminous shape.
In the past, Somalis were unfamiliar with this practice, but it has now become widespread in Mogadishu.
This trend is driven by people returning from abroad—particularly from Europe and Arab countries.
Once a woman becomes habituated to this, she cannot stop; she becomes unable to find sexual satisfaction unless it is performed that way.
Initially, she feels pain, but that pain transforms into intense pleasure.
Afterward, she develops an itch or craving that demands penetration.
Some women even find themselves unable to sleep at night.
The young man, however, had been unaware of these matters. But it was a divorced woman who led him down that path.
You can expect anything from such women; that is how they destroy marriages.
They seek out weak men—men lacking judgment who focus only on their lust—who fail to realize they are being played and that their homes are being dismantled.
A divorced woman of this sort is experienced with men; this story highlights how they seduce such men.
The man falls into the trap she has set—she is intent on quickly destroying his marriage—and that is the nature of these women.
They often favor selling tea as a profession, because that is where men who seek out such women go.
It is also where men who chew khat congregate.
That is where connections are made.
