THE ROLE OF HAUSA DRAMA IN THE PRESERVATION OF CULTURE
Hausa drama is a very highly thriving phenomena, gaining more and more admiration and patronage from the government and the general public. It serves not only for entertainment but also for the education and enlightenment of targeted group and members of the general public. This paper attempts to define drama, its classification, types and the role it is playing in the
preservation of culture. The paper also discusses on the problems and challenges facing drama as a genre of literature, and finally give a favorable suggestion on how to improve the situation for a better performance in the preservation of Hausa culture.
